Citius, Altius, Fortius from Elis the olympic city.

Olympic motto: “Citius, Altius, Fortius” (faster, higher, stronger), a phrase also adopted by Coubertin after hearing it from his friend, the Dominican Henri Martin Didon, and which symbolizes the struggle of human beings to improve.
Olympism proposes to create a lifestyle based on the joy of effort, the educational value of good example and respect for universal fundamental ethical principles.
